  • Please, May I Pick Your Nose, Mommy?

There is a lot you can learn about my daughter from that one sentence alone.

    • She is polite. “Please, may I..?” happens several times a day. She says, “Thank you, Momma,” in such a sweet voice that I melt.
    • She is a picker. Picks hers, picks her brothers, and apparently would like to start in on mine. And she’s not ashamed to talk about it. And she eats it. (Yes, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.)
    • She loves her mommy. Today, we tickled each other’s feet just for the fun of it. She likes to take my hands and kiss them before she falls asleep for her nap. “Good night, Mommy. I love you. Could you pat my back?”
    • She’s not a girly-girl. That’s okay. I’m not so much either. It’s funny to me that with her hair such a mass of curls, she looks like a girly-girl. Her friend Darby at church says she’s a Princess. She’d rather have a Woody hat for her birthday than a Jesse hat. So we’re having a princess party for her birthday, and she’s getting a Woody hat.

  • hehehe……gross…….

  • A Woody hat.  How charming!  Woody reminds me of  the fumbling, but charming,  shoot -for- the -moon  hopeful  that can be found in It’s A Wonderful Life.  Anna Kathryn’s aspirations of kindness and “service” to her mommy  certainly outweigh her current “ eating habits.” I love that little princess!  Love, Mom
